Papyrus is well-known for engaging the private sector in development and has designed and is currently managing and involved in several public-private partnerships that focus on market systems and stakeholder engagement. Papyrus views the private sector as both provider and beneficiary of essential services and helps identify ways and means to engage the sector as part of the community of service providers.
We also actively engage in activities designed to assist civil society, non-public actors, and the private sector, to play their respective service roles and to advocate through observatories and increased collaboration on themes of importance to citizens and regional constituents. We consult broadly with our partners across our portfolio of projects, to bring actors together around common themes to address issues like decentralized governance, livelihoods, citizen security, and coalition-building to tackle challenging development issues in our communities.
Our purpose-driven approach is the expression of the values Papyrus has developed and strives to embody in its work. They include an emphasis on scaling impact that directs efforts to building trust with partners and rejoicing in their successes, which result in more and deeper impact.
