Laurence Hilhorst Janvier

Laurence is an experienced professional with 15 years of operational expertise in industrial and services environments. Her strengths lie in systems thinking and design, making her a practical and results-oriented individual.

In her current role as Program Manager at Papyrus S.A., Laurence oversees the company's extensive project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. She possesses expertise in developing and implementing advanced project management systems, covering financial tracking, knowledge management, workflow enhancement, and project performance monitoring. Additionally, Laurence tailors operational manuals and policies to suit Papyrus, clients’, and project requirements. Moreover, she provides operational support and conducts audits for both the Home Office and projects. Notably, Laurence has successfully led special projects and collaborated with multinationals and international NGOs, contributing significantly to the organization's success.

During her time as Service Engineer at Brasserie Nationale d'Haiti SA (part of HEINEKEN / Pepsico), Laurence successfully implemented a company-wide Chemical Management System for the brewery, resulting in significant improvements in chemical consumption and cost optimization. She was furthermore instrumental in establishing a chemical warehouse including trained staff in compliance with international standards.

As the System Management Coordinator at Brasserie de la Couronne S.A (BRACOUR, part of Coca-Cola), Laurence ensured compliance with integrated Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management System. Her leadership led to successful ISO certification, making BRACOUR one of the first ISO Certified companies in the country.

Beyond the corporate sector, Laurence showcased her expertise as an Operations Consultant for the Smallholders Farmers Alliance (SFA) by optimizing the processing operations of Moringa powder, enhancing the product's quality for export to the USA.

Laurence holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) with a specialization in Operations and Logistics from Laval University in Quebec City, Canada, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering (cum laude) from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

Driven by continuous professional development, Laurence has acquired a wide variety of skills through training programs in management, proposal writing, budget development, and compliance with international standards. She is fluent in French, English, Spanish, and Creole.
